What am I thankful for?

2010 began like any other year did.
Filled with hope and I was ecstatic for it was my final year in college.
I never thought that this year would be the most tragic year yet in my life.
I always said to myself "I'm not afraid of death, I'm afraid that death would take
away someone I love".

I will never forget May 21, 2010. It was the day that the doors of heaven opened up
for her; the day that my bestfriend, my reason and my mother, was taken away from me.

I still remember her final words, as she held my hands, she uttered "Thank you, son".
And she went into a coma.

Now I understand that she's dancing with angels now.
But if God would grant me the opportunity to be with her again just for a few hours,
I'd take her out to see a movie, sing on a karaoke, and eat dinner just like we did before.

And before that treasured time comes to pass I'd kiss her on her forehead and tell her.

"Mom, thank you for being my light throughout the darkest days of my life, for not giving
up on me, for tending my wounds everytime I got into a fight, for cheering me up every single
basketball game I lost, for telling me I'm handsome everytime I dress up,
I'll never be who I am now if it wasn't for you, mom. I love you".

Oh God, I really miss her hugs, her laughs and heck I even miss her scolding!

I'll tell the whole world how great you are, until I join you.
See you again, someday.
Thank you and I love you.

If you're a book lover, you can definitely call this your haven. I knew about Logos Hope back when I was still in college but never got the chance to visit the ship. This time, when I saw their huge billboard near IT Park last week, I will surely not miss this opportunity to visit the World's Largest Book Fair. I can't call myself as bookworm but I admit that I love reading, only when I have time. I love and started collecting books and in fact there are still some of them I haven't read yet. Last Jan 14 was a busy weekend for me, Sinulog weekend, Dinosaur Alive Exhibit and our 35th. But I opted to start my day with a visit to the Logos Hope. Alone, I went to explore the vast collections of books at Logos Hope looking forward to find something worth reading and an add on to my book collection.

Perfect Early morning visit. Welcomed by crews of different nationality. (Entrance fee- P20)

Got a souvenir photo of myself inside the ship taken by their chinese crew. (forgot to ask for his name)

Went home happy with these books...

It's undeniable that I have a sweet tooth. I love chocolates, cakes, frappies and anything with sugar on it is something I can't resist. This week is different from my sweet tooth attacks. Before, when I feel eating anything sweet, I can just finish at least 1-2 bite sized chocolates. This week, I ordered about 40 pcs of Hershey's nuggets from my agent and drank choco chip frappies from Brown Cup. No matter how I control myself from eating and hide my nuggets inside my bag, I just can't resist the sweetness plus the comfort I feel everytime I bite those beautifully wrapped nuggets. Now, I'm feeling guilty of eating those suicide foods. I can just imagine the pounds I gained this week. yacks...

As what I have posted last week about my plans for this year.. I'm now making my checklist and since this year is my year-yeah, I'm born on the year of the dragon,  I'll try to be more ambitious.
I'm really hoping that Eho will support me on this or else, I'll have more X's than checks...

  1. Twice or Thrice a week exercise
  2. Snorkeling
  3. Driving lessons
  4. Hongkong Trip
  5. Out of town trip-Camotes, Bohol, Moalboal
  6. Upgrade my laptop
  7. Upgrade my digicam
  8. Start a little business
  9. DIY headboard, photo wall, etc.
  10. Hotel and Resort membership
  11. Avail of Insurance for parents
  12. Open bank account for yanna and for myself

So here's just a couple of things on my check list and I'm sure there's more to be added. Looking forward on accomplishing these things this year.

Honey was craving for his 123 Tuna recipe last night. It's the one he said he used to cook when he was still in manila. 123 because according to him, the ingredients are so simple plus even a kid like Yanna can cook it. So today we woke up early and cooked his original dish-if we can even call it a dish :P. So here are the ingredients : Century Tuna Flakes in oil, cheese, sky flakes.. simple huh??
and not till he started the step 123 in cooking the dish 1. add tuna in a low heated pan 2. add the cheese 3. add the sky flakes... indeed a 123 dish but can't deny it.. tastes really good.. thanks to chef eho for this healthy breakfast..

I spent almost 5 hours yesterday blog hopping and getting perfect ideas for my new born blog. I've been thinking of things I want to do this year and as what Eho suggested, "List everything and anything you want to do this year, and we'll try our best to make it happen".. and yesterday, with full conviction plus an inspired heart, I have decided to take a big step on blogging. Since Eho bought me the lappy..two of the purpose where for me to start my blog and read my ebooks. So now let it serve its purpose! I am truly amazed with the blogs I read yesterday and I can't wait for me to be able to write just like them. Could be they're just inspired? Wide readers with lots of ideas in mind?.. or just spending their time blogging about anything under the sun. Whatever it is.. I know I want to be like them.. I've always wanted to keep a journal of life's everyday dose.. and it's happening now.. right at this moment!

Biggest dilemma I have now is the accessibility and convenience whenever i plan to blog. I'm now using ASUS A52F-X3- the one that honey bought as a 2nd anniversary gift for me. I love that lappy but it's just too heavy for me to put in my bag and bring it anywhere I want. I'm planning to sell it and buy a netbo0ok instead 'cause with the light weight of the netbooks, I can blog anywhere I want. But now I have to settle first with my Asus and office desktop- (goodluck to the IT peeps..).

IKEA JARS

A week before Christmas, a friend recommended that i should go to Country Classics near Cafe George in Banilad since they're on sale and items are really nice and afforadable. From work, Elmer and I went straight there and indeed the store is "Sooo MeE". Most sale items are wine glasses, xmas plates and kitchen wares. But in a corner i found this IKEA jars for only P 149.00 for a set of 4. Didn't think twice of buying it since I know I can use it either to store my buting-tings or put something inside and make it as a decoration. Here's what I'm planning to do with those cute little jars..

...my LOVEinet
Last Jan 1, 2012, I decided to purchase a cabinet for myself since the cabinet that Yanna and I are sharing can't hold the tons of clothes that we already have. I saw one at Gaisano Mall for onyl P 2500 and find it perfect since not only I can hang my clothes, there's also 3 medium compartments to store my bags and other stuffs. I like the clean, wood-effect design of the cabinet but I'm planning to change it ta a "Soo MeE" cabinet. I'm planning to have this design but I need to get approval first from Elmer if he's fine with this plus I also need to think it over 'cause after i change the look of the cabinet, I can no longer bring it back to the original design.

i had my first Belle de jour planner last 2010 when honey bought it as a surprise for me from his manila trip, he knew my taste.. anything colorfull and girly is so " Me"... when he gave me the belle de jour planner.. right then and there.. i got hooked and became a certified bella. last 2011, i ordered my planner online and had it shipped here in cebu.. after 5 days... voila!!1 got my second bdj planner.. last december.. i had honey purchase my 3rd bdj from powerbooks and not only did he buy me the planner.. he also added some cute post-its and a book mark for my book collections.. i really find it very prodcutive everytime i update and scribble on my planner. the quotes on each page gives me the inspiration to start my day right and sets my mood to write my day-to-day activities.. as part of my goals this year.. i'll update my planner everyday and follow religiously whatever schedules  i have jotted there.. and lastly...to write legibly for future reference.. ;)

    Say it again..

Inside me lies the courage to live the way I imagined
